James B. (Bev) Isaacs
JB is Chartered Arbitrator, Chartered Mediator, Facilitator, Conflict in the Work Place and Management Consultant. He has over twenty years experience in both the public and private sectors of dispute resolution, facilitation, labour relations and negotiation in Western Canada’s Business environment. JB has been engaged as an arbitrator, referee, facilitator, mediator, appeal panel member and Chair, conflict in the work place investigator and consultant, business negotiator and management consultant.
Today, he is the principal and the Managing Director of the Sage Institute of Calgary Ltd., with professional practices in Arbitration, Mediation, Negotiation, Facilitation, Public Engagement, Conflict in the Work Place and Management Consulting.
As an educator he has been; the General Manager and Senior Instructor of “A” Class Vocational Training School (McManus & Associates), developed and instructed Management, Organizational Behaviour and Design, Interpersonal Communications, Public Engagement, Human Relations, Mediation, Arbitration courses and seminars in the public, private and business sectors.
JB studied, taught, and/or conducted research at Mediation Training International, Pulse Institute Inc., Mount Royal College, Reid College, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, University of Calgary, University of Alberta, University of Chicago, Ontario Police College, Canadian Police College and the Banff School of Management.
In the dispute resolution sphere he presently is or has served as a member of: Alberta Government Services, Consumer Services Arbitration Roster, Alberta Municipal Affairs Arbitration Roster, ‘AMVIC’ Arbitration Roster, Alberta Justice, Provincial Court Civil Mediation Roster; Court of Queen’s Bench Mediation Roster; Alberta Energy Regulator, Mediation Roster; Alberta Human Services Child Youth and Family Enhancement Appeal Panel, Health Canada Specialized Health Services Roster, an Associate of Mediation and Arbitration Associates of Canada, Associate of the Pulse Institute, ADR Institute of Alberta, ADR Institute of Canada, Director of Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society, Director Community Mediation Calgary Society.
